Number of Items, Size and Weight

  • One (1) cabin bag is included when flying with Braathens.
  • Maximum weight is 5 kg (bag + contents).
  • Maximum size is 55x40x23 cm.

Personal Item

  • In addition to your carry-on bag, you can bring one personal item, such as a purse, laptop, or tablet, at no extra cost.

Restrictions for Liquids

  • EU regulations limit the amount of liquids in carry-on baggage.
  • Containers may hold a maximum of 100 ml and must be stored in a clear, resealable plastic bag.
  • Tip for liquids! To avoid spills, always ensure liquids are properly sealed and safely stored in your carry-on bag.

Pack valuable items in your carry-on

  • We recommend that you store medications, keys, wallets, and other valuable items in your carry-on for safekeeping.

Book through your operator

  • Check-in baggage is not typically included in the booking, but can be purchased as an add-on through your tour operator.

Size and Weight

  • Generally, one (1) checked bag per passenger is allowed with a maximum weight of 15 kg.
  • According to international regulations, a checked bag may weigh a maximum of 32 kg. If your baggage exceeds this, you will need to distribute the weight across additional bags.

Book excess weight in advance

  • If your baggage weigh more than your ticket allows, you can purchase extra weight in advance through your tour operator’s website.

Pay at check-in

  • If your baggage exceeds the weight allowed by your ticket, an overweight fee will apply, payable by card at check-in.

Checked baggage

  • For children (2-11 years), checked baggage is normally not included in the booking.
  • Infants (0-23 months) can check in up to 10 kg.

Stroller and Car Seat

  • Infants (0-23 months) and children (2-11 years) can check in one stroller or  one car seat free of charge in addition to any baggage that may be included in their ticket.
  • When checking in a stroller (maximum 23 kg) and/or a car seat, it must be placed in a suitable protective cover. We recommend using a hard case to avoid potential damage.
  • No other items may be packed in the same plastic bag or case.
  • Please note that a bag protects your item from dust and dirt, but not from physical damage.
  • Two-piece strollers must be packed as separate parts.

  • You can bring essentials for your infant in your carry-on, such as diapers, baby food, and medications.
  • Note: We do not offer bassinets onboard.

Pack and protect your belongings when you travel! Here are our top tips to prevent damage and keep your items secure during your flight.

Smart packing

To ensure your belongings reach their destination safely, consider these important steps:

  • Label your bags with your name and phone number.
  • Pack carefully to prevent items from shifting or falling out.
  • Consider travel insurance for valuable or fragile items.
  • Do not pack prohibited items or dangerous goods.

Protecting fragile items

Certain types of equipment require extra protection to minimize the risk of damage:

  • Strollers and car seats
  • Sports equipment such as bicycles, golf clubs, and skis
  • Artwork and other delicate valuables

These items should be stored in hard or padded cases and must not be packed together with other luggage. Plastic bags at the airport only protect against dirt and spills, not impacts.

Packing solutions

Protective packaging solutions such as Stokke PramPack and Airshells are excellent choices for strollers and car seats. All checked-in children's equipment must be properly packed according to these recommendations.

Limited liability

Like other airlines, we follow the Montreal Convention regulations regarding baggage liability. To avoid unexpected issues, ensure your belongings are packed according to our guidelines before you travel.
