When you fly with us at Braathens, you can make your journey more sustainable by purchasing fossil-free Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). It is made from 100% certified bio-based materials, such as used cooking oil, and helps reduce emissions of fossil carbon dioxide.
You decide how much SAF you want to add to your trip, and we ensure the equivalent amount is purchased and refueled at the airport during scheduled refueling events, which take place a few times per year. SAF is blended with conventional fuel and used by aircraft departing during the refueling period. Together, we can reduce aviation's climate impact and support the development of more sustainable fuel solutions.
